Created in celebration of Hogmanay - the Scots word for December 31st, the last day of the year. This seasonal is dark, malty, and herbaceous. A Scottish Wee Heavy Gruit Beer isn't hopped but rather takes its flavour from rosemary, heather and yarrow all sourced from our friends at Winterwood Natural Foods on Broad Street right here in town. Only 100 specially labelled and wax dipped bottles were available in December 2021.

Hogmanay Wee Heavy Gruit is brewed by Sussex Ale Works in the Gruit style. See ratings, tasting notes, and related releases on Canadian Beer Guide.
